A brilliant, alpha architect. A smart, sultry apprentice. What could possibly go wrong?
Patrick
That hair.
That fucking hair.
It was everywhere, always, and I wanted to tangle my fingers in those dark curls and pull.
And that would be fine if she wasn't my apprentice.
Andy
An incredibly hot architect with the most expressive hazel eyes I ever encountered and entirely too much talent in and out of the bedroom wasn't part of my original plan.
With Patrick Walsh leaving love notes in the form of bite marks all over my body, it seems my plan was undergoing some renovations.

I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this book. I love the Walsh siblings!!! I love their banter with each other. I want to be part of their family. However I had to force myself to finish this book. I don't know why exactly. There was something off about Andy. She is self-centered but there's something else there. She seemed almost dead. I can't quite figure out why Patrick was so obsessed with her. Like I said she seemed lifeless. I found myself hurting for Patrick at times. The only time I didn't have to force myself to read was when things started going to s**t. I found that to be rather odd. But overall I'm glad I finished it. I will read the remaining books because I love the Walsh family. In the end the main thing that bothers me about this book is the quote from Harry Potter " if you have to ask you'll never know, if you know you need only to ask" is from the Deathly Hallows part 2 and there was no reference to that movie or book anywhere. I knew when I read it, ask my teenage daughter about it and looked it up just to make sure I was right. And it is definitely from Deathly Hallows Part 2. Not sure how that was overlooked. I'm hoping the next book is better but that's not saying this book was bad. It was just okay.Product details

The Space Between The Walsh Series Book 2 edition by Kate Canterbary Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
*This second wonderful installment of the Walsh Series can be read as a standalone.
Meet Patrick Walsh, the eldest and de-facto head of the Walsh clan. He's my favorite kind of guy responsible, smart, always prepared, a real boy scout (only a super-hot boy scout with a bit of a kinky side.) He's the head of Walsh Associates architects and is looking to hire a new apprentice. Meet Andy Ansani, Cornell architecture graduate. She's driven, talented, smart and sexy. A match made in heaven!
Patrick is demanding and "scowley;" at times he carries the weight of the world (and his upbringing) on his shoulders. Andy is deep and secretive--she "doesn't give much” about herself, her life or her past. Both characters have plenty of baggage, but they also bring out the best in one another. With fits and starts (and a lot of hot sex) they come together, then not, then maybe...Hmmmmmmm. You'll have to read it to find out.
Kate Canterbary manages to bring depth to every one of her characters. Understanding the back story of the Walsh tribe, bittersweet as it is, makes me appreciate everyone even more. Can’t' wait for the next installment--but until then, the Patrick and Andy story may well be worth rereading!
Since I'm originally from upstate NY, I love the references to Cornell and Ithaca...I was there last summer! It's an absolutely beautiful part of NY (and yes, the winters ARE brutal-which is why I now live in FL!)
I am loving this Walsh family. They have many things to overcome emotionally and alot of baggage to deal with and try to move on from the death of their father in book 1.
Patrick is a workhorse and has been the one to keep everything together for the family and the business all along. He has an immediate attraction to Andy and doesn't want to take her on as his intern because of this.
Andy starts as an intern and doesn't take any of Patrick's crap from the get go. I love when the heroines are smart and sassy with minds of their own!
They fight their attraction in the early stages but once they come together, it is ON! These 2 are HOT!
Their relationship is not the easiest road, and there are some misjudgments and misunderstandings along the way but nothing too angsty.
Definitely a great series
5 FANTASTIC Stars
OK, I did not read the first book in this series BUT when I saw the synopsis for this book along with a GR friend in the process of reading and loving it, I knew I HAD to read it) Wow, it was terrific!!!!! I also didn't feel like I missed much either from missing out on the first book either which was good.
I absolutely LOVED the entire book from start until finish. The writing was great, the characters were spot on perfect and the storyline was fascinating, flowed seamlessly and sexy and just everything I love in my romance reads.
Now at around the 80% or so mark, my heart was beating out of control, yeah it was intense and I LOVED every single second of it. Why, you say, well I love when a great story has just the right amount of angst in it and I don't mean foolish drama for the sake of throwing in drama, NO, I mean the angst factor that ups the story to a whole new level and for me, that scene where they both confront each other on some issues was written perfectly for me. It felt like the bottom fell out for me in that moment and from there on in, the story just got THAT much more intense and I literally sat on the edge of my seat until the very end! Sounds crazy, I KNOW, who wants the H and the h to say hurtful things right, I don't mean it in the way it literally sounds, lol, but for lack of not knowing exactly how to put my feelings into words, I just mean it added "depth" to the storyline in a GOOD way and for me, I love when I get that feeling in a twisted sort of way, it just added more "excitement" to a story that was already great to begin with and who doesn't love that) Hope that makes sense but it was at that point that I KNEW this was a 5 star read!
Congrats Author Kate Canterbury on a truly beautiful love story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They dynamic between the siblings is amazing. And Riley ... he's the reason I'm here. I apparently need to slog through awful heroes and heroines to get to the Riley treasure.
I intensely liked the first book and this one was only marginally better. I'm in social services and ethics are huge ... have to take an entire class on it ... so my biggest problem with this book was that they each knew that starting a relationship was wrong but they still did it. You couldn't wait 6 months?! And she's got the nerve to be whiny about what people will think of her? Uh, then don't do it!
I also didn't like Andy as a person. I didn't find any redeeming qualities about her and when her best friend tore her a new one, she was spot on. I could go on and on and nit pick every scene but suffice it to say, Andy was a whiny teenager and Patrick was a total kitty (only not that word.)
